The Department of Chemistry set up in 2014, adopts a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to education. 

The Department offers PhD programs as well as M. Sc. programs with specializations in Industrial Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. Additionally, it also extends teaching support to other departments and faculties. 

Interactions and engagements with the industry are actively encouraged, and the Department works closely with companies and government organisations on numerous projects. Academic learnings shape and influence these industry interactions and vis versa. Faculty members thus keep abreast with the latest developments in their field and are able to educate students accordingly.
